Steward Section

The Steward Section is responsible for all food and beverage service in connection with the King and Queen’s official and private activities, and assists the Crown Prince and Crown Princess in connection with such activities.

This includes food and beverage service for:

  • Meetings
  • Receptions
  • Official and private luncheons for up to 225 persons
  • Official and private dinners for up to 225 persons

  • As well as responsibility for the Palace’s wine cellar and silver in regular use

The Section prepares the King and Queen’s offices and assists during audiences and meetings.

Organisation

The Steward Section is organised under the Royal Household, and is led by Head Steward Karianne Dyrberg. For large-scale functions, external personnel are hired to supplement the permanent staff.

The staff perform duties at the Palace, on the Royal Yacht, and at the other Royal residences
