Tom Sandberg in New York
It is the first time that a Scandinavian artist has had a solo exhibition at the renowned gallery P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center, an affiliate of the Museum of Modern Art. The exhibition displays 40 of Sandbergs photographs from his 20-year-long career.
After viewing the exhibition, the Crown Princess made the following statement to the media:
This exhibition is an important event in Norwegian contemporary art. The photographer Tom Sandberg is the first Scandinavian to have his own exhibition at P.S.1. I have followed Sandberg and his work over several years. The acknowledgement he has received here in New York makes me proud and happy on Norway's behalf.
Happy Constitution Day!
The Royal Family marked Norway’s Constitution Day in both Asker and Oslo, and was present on the Palace Balcony as the whole country sang the national anthem of Norway at 13:00 pm.
Celebrating May 17th
For more than 100 years, the Royal Family has greeted the Constitution Day children’s parade in Oslo from the balcony of the Royal Palace.
