The Princess was christened in the Palace Chapel on 17 April 2004. Bishop Gunnar Stålsett officiated, and it was her grandfather, His Majesty The King, who presented the Princess for baptism. All the Princess’s godparents were in attendance for The Princess' confirmation 31 August 2019. The confirmation service was officiated by the Bishop of Oslo, Kari Veiteberg, and Karoline Astrup, parish priest in Asker.

Official engagements

In 2009, Princess Ingrid Alexandra marked World Environment Day and met a children’s parade in the Palace Square with more than thousand young “environmental agents”. This was her first official engagement outside of participation in May 17 and the ski festivals in Holmenkollen.

Over time, her responsibilities have gradually increased, and when Princess Ingrid Alexandra came of age on 21 January 2022, she was given her own office at the Royal Palace. However, for the coming years, her main focus will be on her education.
