Football fever has gripped Norway! Her Royal Highness Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus were at MetLife Stadium as Norway defeated Senegal in their second match.

For the first time in 28 years, Norway have qualified for a men's FIFA World Cup. Many thousands of Norwegian supporters have travelled to the US for the World Cup, and The Princess and The Prince joined them in cheering on the Norwegian team. In an exciting match, substitute Holmgren Pedersen scored once and Haaland twice, securing three points and victory for Norway.
Norway have therefore progressed to the next stage of the World Cup!
Football club in Brooklyn
After supporting Norway at the World Cup, Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus visited a TINE football school and the historic football club Gjøa in Brooklyn.
The club has Norwegian roots and today provides an important sporting opportunity for hundreds of children and young people in New York. The Princess and The Prince took part in relay races and ball games with around 60 participants from the football school.
