Happy Constitution Day!
The Royal Family was in attendance on the Palace Balcony when the children's parade reached the Palace Square at 10:30 this morning. From there, they could greet more than 26,000 children from 109 schools taking part in Oslo's children's parade this year.

It is the Staff Band of the Armed Forces that has the honour of leading the parade. They are followed by the 17th of May Committee, who led in the singing of the Royal Anthem and the Norwegian National anthem before the children entered Palace Square.

According to tradition, schools that celebrate jubilees are awarded the honour of marching at the head of the parade in Oslo. This year three elementary schools celebrate 125 years: Bryn entered the Palace Square first, followed by Grorud and Lakkegata.

Hartvig Nissen will be the last school to pass before the Palace Balcony before His Majesty the King's Guard concludes the parade.
Greeted the children's parade in Asker

There the children were greeted by Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus.
