Future communications regarding the health of The Crown Princess

Communication from The Royal Court regarding the forthcoming transplant is planned as follows:

• The next update on The Crown Princess's condition will be provided after the lung transplant has taken place.
• Thereafter, updates on her condition will be issued when appropriate, until The Crown Princess is discharged from Oslo University Hospital, Rikshospitalet.
• Following her discharge from Rikshospitalet, there will be an extended period of rehabilitation and recovery. As a general rule, no updates will be provided during this period.

Under Norwegian law, it is prohibited to seek or disclose information that could make it possible to identify a connection between an organ donor and a recipient. This means that the publication of information regarding the timing of a transplant may be prohibited. Consequently, The Royal Court and Rikshospitalet will carefully consider when information about the transplant can be made public after the procedure has taken place.
