Communication staff
The Communication staff is responsible for communication on behalf of the Royal House and the Royal Court. This includes liaising with the media and facilitating press arrangements, contributing to books and television productions, overseeing official photography, and managing web communication.

The Communication staff assists the members of the Royal House in the planning and conduct of media programmes and interviews, and in safeguarding the private lives of its members. When members of the Royal House undertake official engagements, it is important to ensure that these occasions are well facilitated for both the public and the press.
The Communication staff work closely with local organisers, the County Governor’s Office and the municipality in connection with journeys and visits in Norway. For visits abroad, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Norwegian embassies are key partners.
The Communications Staff receives several thousand enquiries each year. Its aim is to provide swift, accurate and comprehensive responses, and to ensure effective facilitation for interviews and photography.
Web communication
The Communication staff is also responsible for the website of the Royal House, the pages on Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube.
The Staff also cooperates closely with the Royal Collections regarding the Palace's cultural outreach activities.
Ms Guri Varpe is Head of Communication.
