The Crown Prince and Crown Princess’ Foundation
TRH Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit’s Foundation focuses on youth and young people who, for various reasons, risk being left on the outside of the community.

The Crown Prince and Crown Princess's Foundation was established by Their Royal Highnesses in connection with their wedding on 25 August 2001.
The Foundation works to ensure that all young people in Norway have the opportunity to participate fully in society, whether through education, employment or social activities. It therefore supports and collaborates with projects that provide young people with opportunities for achievement, belonging and community.
Collaboration with selected projects
The Foundation supports projects that empower young people. These projects create opportunities for achievement and participation, enabling young people to develop their talents and, above all, to take part in their communities.
The Foundation works closely with the projects on a day-to-day basis, while its partners contribute valuable expertise and guidance.
The most recent project joined the Foundation in 2023. Any future calls for applications will be announced on the Foundation's website and social media channels.
In 2026, the Foundation's partner projects are:
- Ung Invest AIB
- Dale Oen Experience
- Get Academy
- Air UNG
In addition, the Foundation runs its own programme, Flyt.
The Foundation has previously supported Catalysts, VIBRO, Trivselsleder, Lærervikaren, Pøbelprosjektet, Drive for Life and Cousins. You can read more about these projects on the Foundation's website (in Norwegian only).
The Future Summit
Since 2021, the Foundation has invited young people to take part in the annual Future Summit. The event gives young participants the opportunity to discuss issues of current importance and present their views directly to decision-makers.

Finances and partners
The Government's wedding gift to the Crown Prince and Crown Princess forms the largest contribution to the Foundation's endowment, amounting to one Norwegian krone for every resident of Norway.
The Foundation's partners contribute financial support, expertise and knowledge. Through these partnerships, the Foundation brings together organisations from across society to develop sustainable solutions for and with young people. A list of the Foundation's partners is available on the Foundation's website.
Organisation
The Crown Prince and Crown Princess's Foundation is organised as a charitable foundation. Members of the Board receive no fees or remuneration for their work.
The Crown Prince and Crown Princess give priority to working with young people in Norway and promoting young leadership. The Royal Household provides administrative and practical support to Their Royal Highnesses in carrying out their official duties, including assistance with the administration of the Foundation.
