King Harald V, King of Norway and head of state since 17 January 1991. Swore allegiance to the Kingdom’s Constitution in the Storting. Consecrated in Nidaros Cathedral. Motto: “Alt for Norge" - We give our all for Norway.

His Majesty the King’s most important duties are set out in the Constitution. He is the foremost symbol of Norway and represents the country abroad. His responsibilities are primarily representative and ceremonial.
Biography
Prince Harald was born at his parents’ home, the country estate of Skaugum, on 21 February 1937. He was the only son of Crown Prince Olav and Crown Princess Märtha, and heir to the Norwegian throne.
