I was deeply saddened on hearing the news about the devastating flooding and mudslides that hit the city of Mocoa in the Putumayo province Friday last week, causing so many dead and injured and so much physical damage and destruction.
On behalf of myself and the Norwegian people I send you my condolences, and ask you to convey my deepest sympathies to those bereaved and to those otherwise afflicted by this tragic disaster.

Happy Constitution Day!
The Royal Family was in attendance on the Palace Balcony when the children's parade reached the Palace Square at 10:30 this morning. From there, they could greet more than 26,000 children from 109 schools taking part in Oslo's children's parade this year.
