I was very saddened to hear about the terrible explosion in the Beirut harbour Tuesday, that caused such widespread damage and loss of so many lives. I send you my condolences, Mr. President, and ask you to convey my condolences and heartfelt sympathy to those beraved, injured or otherwise affected by this tragic incident, and to the people of the Lebanese Repulic.

The Royal Court’s Annual Report for 2024
In 2024, the members of the Royal House of Norway paid visits to 42 municipalities across Norway, including as part of their extensive county visits to Agder, Rogaland and Trøndelag. Members of the Royal House also carried out a number of official visits abroad, including to Europe, the Americas and the Middle East.
State visit from Iceland
Their Majesties King Harald and Queen Sonja welcomed the President of Iceland, Halla Tómasdóttir, and her husband Björn Skúlason to Norway during a welcome ceremony at the Palace Square today.
