State Visit to Finland
The King and Queen began their third State Visit to Finland today. They are accompanied by several government ministers as well as a large delegation of representatives of Norwegian trade and industry.

Presented the 2016 Kavli Prizes
Today the winners of the 2016 Kavli Prize were honoured in Oslo Concert Hall. His Royal Highness The Crown Prince Regent presented the prizes.

The graphic art exhibition “TEXTURE” opened in Bergen this weekend. The exhibition is a collaboration between Her Majesty The Queen and Magne Furuholmen.

QSPA presented in Bergen
Today the Queen Sonja Print Award for 2016 was presented to the US visual artist Tauba Auerbach. Her Majesty The Queen presented the award herself in Grieghallen this afternoon.

Silver jubilee tour along the coast

Japanomania in the North
This evening Her Majesty The Queen officially opened the exhibition “Japanomania in the North 1875–1918”. This two-part exhibition shows the many ways in which Japanese art influenced Nordic art and design during that period.

Concluded in Narvik
The State Visit from Poland was concluded at Håkvik cemetery this evening. His Majesty The King, His Excellency the President of the Republic of Poland Mr Andrzej Duda and First Lady Mrs Agata Kornhauser-Duda paid homage to the Polish soldiers who died in Norway during the Second World War.

The 64th Bergen International Festival
Her Majesty The Queen attended the opening of the Bergen International Festival in Torgallmenningen City Square today. The festival will last for 15 days.

Polish-Norwegian cooperation
Defence cooperation was the focus of the programme for His Majesty The King and His Excellency the President of the Republic of Poland Mr Andrzej Duda today. However, the second day of the State Visit started off with a business seminar.

Presented the Abel Prize 2016
The 2016 Abel Prize was awarded to Sir Andrew J. Wiles of the University of Oxford for his proof of Fermat’s Last Theorem. His Royal Highness The Crown Prince presented the award today in the Aula of the University of Oslo.

State Visit from Poland
His Excellency the President of the Republic of Poland Mr Andrzej Duda and First Lady Mrs Agata Kornhauser-Duda began their State Visit to Norway today.

Happy Constitution Day!
The Royal Family greeted the Children's Parade in Oslo from its traditional place on the Palace Balcony today.

Splendid jubilee celebration
Several thousand people took part in celebrating the 25th anniversary of the ascension to the Norwegian throne of Their Majesties King Harald and Queen Sonja today.

Her Majesty The Queen presented the Edvard Munch Art Award on Saturday, 12 December. The newly established prize was awarded to the French artist Camille Henrot.

The Nobel Peace Prize for 2015
Their Majesties The King and Queen and Their Royal Highnesses The Crown Prince and Crown Princess were in attendance when the Nobel Peace Prize for 2015 was awarded to the Tunisian National Dialogue Quartet in a formal ceremony at Oslo City Hall today.

Lit the Christmas tree in London
Her Highness Princess Astrid, Mrs Ferner lit the Christmas tree in Trafalgar Square in London Thursday evening. The tree is Oslo’s traditional gift to the city of London, as thanks for the assistance provided to Norway during the Second World War.
