Princess Ingeborg was the grandmother of His Majesty The King, and thus is Princess Ingrid Alexandra’s great-great-grandmother.
Queen Sonja opened the new National Museum
“Today a new building is opening up to us all, and art is gaining a new home. This is a building where dreams began from the moment when the Crown Princess and I laid the cornerstone six years ago,” said Her Majesty The Queen when she opened the new National Museum today.

Factory visit and ship christening in Porsgrunn
Yara Birkeland is the world’s first autonomous electric container ship. His Royal Highness The Crown Prince celebrated the christening of the unique ship along with its two 12-year-old "godmothers" and 500 other young people on Friday at the port in Brevik, on Norway’s south-eastern coast.

Journalists Maria Ressa and Dmitry Muratov received the Nobel Peace Prize today for their efforts to safeguard freedom of expression in the Philippines and Russia, respectively.
